Privacy Policy

ShowFrog is built to need as little of your data as possible. The search parser runs on your device, and product analytics are limited to submitted searches and interaction signals that help improve recommendations.

What we collect

• Account info — your email address (and, if you use a social sign-in, the basic profile it returns), handled by our authentication provider, Clerk.
• Your shortlist — the shows you save, tied to your account.
• Basic operational data — minimal logs needed to keep the service running and secure.
• Product analytics — pageviews, submitted searches after redaction, filters applied, result clicks, save clicks, and where-to-watch clicks so we can understand what people look for and improve ShowFrog.

What we don't do

Your typing is parsed on your device. We don't collect every keystroke, and we redact email-like text, obvious secrets, and very long pasted searches before analytics events are sent. We don't sell your data, and we don't run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.

Accounts & authentication

Sign-in and account storage are provided by Clerk. Their handling of credentials is governed by Clerk's own terms and privacy practices.

Your choices

• Access, export, or delete your account and shortlist at any time.
• Unsubscribe from any optional email at any time.
• You can request region-specific rights, such as those under GDPR or CCPA.
