ShowFrog is a finder for adult suspense and thriller TV. You tell it the kind of night you want — in plain words — and it ranks shows by how well they fit, including the one thing other guides ignore: how much violence/gore you're up for.
Why we built it
Streaming gave us everything and then buried it. The hardest part of a thriller night isn't watching —it's the twenty minutes of scrolling before, second-guessing whether something is too slow, too gory, or just not the mood. Star ratings don't answer "is this too much tonight?" Genre tags don't capture "twisty but not bleak." So we built a finder around the questions people actually ask themselves on the couch.
How it works
Type a vibe —"slow-burn nordic noir, nothing too violent, made after 2018" — or tap an example. ShowFrog reads it on the spot, sets the filters it understood, and ranks the catalog by fit. Then you fine-tune below the results: dial the violence/gore level, narrow the subgenre, year, or platform. No blank page, no endless grid — a ranked shortlist you can act on.
What we believe
